How does the MENDELU evaluation system work?

Every course has specific requirements you must meet to successfully pass it. Either you need to meet the requirements for completing subjects (usually sports - only attendance), assessment (subjects with a small number of credits - usually equals to a simple test/examination) or pass the exam (in some subjects to pass, you need more points than you can gain from the exam, that means you need to pay attention to ongoing tasks during the semester).

Mendelu uses a marking system of 6 letters:

A = excelent

B = very good

C = good

D = satisfactory

E = sufficient

F = failed

Where can I find information about my studies?

All the information that you need about your studies you will find in UIS (University Information System).

You can find your study plan here, personal timetable, register for examinations, your schoolmates, study confirmation, course catalogue, documents for your courses,  e-tests and many others.

Is the course enrollment in the study required? Where and when can it be done?

Yes, without the enrollment you can’t be accepted to the semester. You need to fill the enrollment in the university information system (UIS) in Student’s portal (Registration/Enrollment). Enrollment usually takes place at the start of September and end of January.

What is the required minimum of credits for a semester?

The student is obliged to obtain at least 12 credits in the first semester to pass into the second semester. To enroll in the study in the next semester, the student must obtain at least 40 credits in total for the last two studied semesters. This rule doesn’t apply only if the student has less than 30 credits left up to the minimum number of credits needed for successful graduation. Besides that, the student has to study at least one subject in each semester of study.
