What does it mean to be an AUddy?
Our faculty welcomes many students from abroad and we all probably remember how it feels like during your first days as a student, especially if you become a student in a foreign country that differs from your own by language, culture, rules, and many other things. Sometimes it is easy to get lost. Our AUddy Program aims to assist first-year students to get familiar with Mendel University and all the pitfalls.
You can become an AUddy which means you will be paired up with a new foreign student to coordinate and support them. Your help may include anything starting from picking up a student, explaining to them how to buy a tram ticket, or teaching them how to create a lecture schedule in the information system, ending with showing them around the best places in Brno or going for a beer together.
Why should you become an AUddy?
The AUddy system brings many benefits such as practicing foreign languages, learning more about other cultures, making new friends from various countries. All these not only will broaden your horizons but will make you a part of the international community and you may even feel more comfortable during traveling abroad.
What should you do to become an AUddy?
